§ 50-10. Obstructing, resisting public officers and employees.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person within the city to:

    (1)

    Hinder, obstruct or impede any police officer, firefighter, or other city employee, in the discharge of any duty, or to menace or threaten such officer or employee while in the discharge of any official duty.

    (2)

    It shall be unlawful for any person within the city to disobey any lawful order issued by any police officer, firefighter or sworn officer of the city pursuant to the discharge of any official duty or issued pursuant to any provision of this Code.

    (3)

    No person shall, within the city, follow any police officer while in charge of a prisoner, after such person has been commanded to desist, or after any crowd shall have been commanded to disperse.
